【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverspressuremetertestingofsoils.Apressuremetertestisaninsitustress-straintestperformedonthewallofaboreholeusingacylindricalprobethatisexpandedradially.Toobtainviabletestresults,disturbancetotheboreholewallmustbeminimized.1.2Thistestmethodincludestheprocedurefordrillingtheborehole,insertingtheprobe,andconductingpressuremetertestsinbothgranularandcohesivesoils,butdoesnotincludehighpressuretestinginrock.Knowledgeofthetypeofsoilinwhicheachpressuremetertestistobemadeisnecessaryforassessmentof(1)themethodofboringorprobeplacement,orboth,(2)theinterpretationofthetestdata,and(3)thereasonablenessofthetestresults.1.3Thistestmethoddoesnotcovertheself-boringpressuremeter,forwhichtheholeisdrilledbyamechanicalorjettingtoolinsidethehollowcoreoftheprobe.Thistestmethodislimitedtothepressuremeterwhichisinsertedintopredrilledboreholesor,undercertaincircumstances,isinsertedbydriving.1.4Twoalternatetestingproceduresareprovidedasfollows:1.4.1ProcedureA8212;TheEqualPressureIncrementMethod.1.4.2ProcedureB8212;TheEqualVolumeIncrementMethod.Note18212;Astandardfortheself-boringpressuremeterisscheduledtobedevelopedseparately.Pressuremetertestinginrockmaybestandardizedasanadjuncttothistestmethod.Note28212;Strain-controlledtestsalsocanbeperformed,wherebytheprobevolumeisincreasedataconstantrateandcorrespondingpressuresaremeasured.Thismethodshallbeappliedonlyifspecialrequirementsmustbemetandisnotcoveredbythistestmethod.Strain-controlledtestsmayyielddifferentresultsthantheproceduredescribedinthistestmethod.1.5AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.6Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeNote7.
