【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseincaseswhereanexperimentaldeterminationofheatofcombustionisnotavailableandcannotbemadeconveniently,andwhereanestimateisconsideredsatisfactory.Itisnotintendedasasubstituteforexperimentalmeasurementofheatofcombustion.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheestimationofthegrossandnetheatofcombustioninSIunits,megajoulesperkilogram,ofpetroleumfuelsfromthefueldensity,sulfur,water,andashcontent.Note18212;TheequationforestimationofnetandgrossheatofcombustionusedinthismethodwereoriginallypublishedbytheNISTPublicationNo.97.1.2Thistestmethodisespeciallyusefulforestimating,usingaminimumnumberoftests,theheatofcombustionofburneranddieselfuelsforwhichitisnotusuallycriticaltoobtainverypreciseheatdeterminations.Note28212;Moreaccurateestimationmethodsareavailableforaviationfuels(TestMethodsD1405,D4529,andD3338).However,thoseestimationmethodsrequireadditionalteststothoserequiredinthistestmethod.1.3Thistestmethodispurelyempirical(Note1).ItisapplicableonlytoliquidhydrocarbonfuelsderivedbynormalrefiningprocessesfromconventionalcrudeoilthatconformtotherequirementsofspecificationsforpetroleumfuelsasdescribedinNote3.Thistestmethodisvalidforthosefuelsinthedensityrangefrom750to1000kg/m3andthosethatdonotcontainanunusuallyhigharomaticcontent.Higharomaticcontentfuelswillnotnormallymeetfuelspecificationcriteria.

【摘要】:Awell-designedsample-handlingandconditioningsystemisessentialtotheaccuracyandreliabilityofpipelineinstruments.Approximately70%oftheproblemsencounteredareassociatedwiththesamplingsystem.1.1Thispracticecoverssample-handlingandconditioningsystemsfortypicalpipelinemonitoringinstrumentation(gaschromatographs,moistureanalyzers,andsoforth).Theselectionofthesample-handlingandconditioningsystemdependsupontheoperatingconditionsandstreamcomposition.1.2Thispracticeisintendedforsingle-phasemixturesthatvaryincomposition.Arepresentativesamplecannotbeobtainedfromatwo-phasestream.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoregardedasstandard.ThevaluesstatedinEnglishunitsareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
